Over one stitching

Not a whole lot of progress to share on Eastern Seaboard Sampler.  I haven't had a whole lot of stitching time over the last few days.  So, this is just a quick post to show what I have done.

I decided to attempt the row of tarten which is all over-one stitching.  It has not been as hard as I anticipated... so far.  But I don't totally enjoy it either.  I'll be happy when this row is finished. I figured I'd go for it because I really like the look of it and I feel like I'm up to the challenge now.

I have made some purchases this week.  Victoria Sampler had a 50% off sale on some of their original designs, so, I ordered a few things that I have liked for a long time.  Also, Stitching Bits and Bobs has a huge clearance sale ongoing, with lots of stuff going for 50% off, so, I picked a few things up there too.  I think my original goal for the year did allow me to pick things up that were drastically reduced and I think both of these purchases fall into that bracket.  I knew I wouldn't be able to go the WHOLE year without buying something. So, I think these purchases fall inline with my goals.  I am keeping all of my receipts this year so I can see just how much I've spent.

Aside from this, my aunt is visitng from Ontario this week.  Over the years, I've sent her a few things that I have made for Christmas and what-not, and well, she's now given me a list of things she would like me to make her.   It's nice to know that my work is appreciated.  :o)

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and gets lots done!

It's nice to know that someone appreciates your work. I hope you have a good visit with your Aunt.
Your Eastern Seaboard is coming along quite nicely. The over one is really looking great.
Sounds like you've made some great deals on all your stash purchases. Now I'm off to check out the clearance at SB&B!
