Canada

This is the third time today I've tried to make this post, for whatever reason, Blogger wouldn't let me upload pictures.
Anyhow, late last night/early this morning I finished this off. It was a quick and easy stitch. I've never stitched anything for Canada Day before and when I saw this at my last visit to my LNS, I just had to get it. If you take a close look at the charms, the second bottom one is a beer bottle, which made me laugh. Atlantic Canada is definitely proud of its beer. Even though I don't drink myself (absolute hate hang-overs, not to mention the wasted calories....), I still find it quite funny to see this charm as a symbol of Canada.

Karen - you find the most interesting designs. Designer please as I am adding this to my short list LOL
What a unique pattern and wonderful finish! The beer though *shakes head in a decidely bemused fashion*. So in the charms we have: a hockey player, a maple leaf, a bottle of beer, a beaver (who is hilariously cute with his oversize buck teeth, just saying), a skier and some pine (?) trees. O Canada, indeed. At least there wasn't a toque charm *wink* But it's very cute, and congrats for getting it stitched just in time for Canada Day :)
Fantastic and perfect! Congrats on your finish!
I love it Karen! Right after we chatted about Canadian patriotic designs I found this one at 123 stitch and ordered it. Then the strike began. Guess it will show up sometime, hopefully before next July 1st!
Very nice! Aren't they pretty quick stitches? I did a Hinzeit last year and really enjoyed it.
